A Solana NFT Project and Play to Earn Game Set to Explode - Crypto Cavemen Club (CaveWorld)
Why I believe CaveWorld and the Crypt Caveman Project will be an exciting and explosive NFT and P2E play over the coming months.
First off, this is a writeup that I meant to have out way earlier but alas here we are. To be honest, I secretly wondered if I would be able to write this because the content might just be too late. The concept I’m writing about is an under appreciated project, like really, really under appreciated. In fact, it’s so obvious to me that this project has massive upside that I started wondering if maybe I’m the crazy one. But I also had the same thought when I was buying Solana at teen prices in early 2021 and we know how that turned out. Here’s the thing, I’m not some technical analyst or NFT insider but I do understand things from a more business oriented background. I then apply some of the same concepts that have helped me in my entrepreneurial career to my choices on which projects to invest in on the NFT and crypto side. Using some of my lens and criteria from that world on this project has lead me to one conclusion…I NEED TO KEEP BUYING… and I think you should buy as well if you don’t have exposure yet.
The project I’m writing about is on the doorstep to their game release. Once that occurs the market will decide which direction it goes but I believe it will be upwards, and up significantly. Luckily for whomever might be reading this in late April 2022, I think there is still a small window of time to get on board and get some exposure to the project, team and the P2E gaming ecosystem. For those that have short attention spans - here’s the TLDR:
Old School Solana project around since September 2021 nearing game release
Project, in my opinion, very undervalued
Steady team of builders who have delivered on their promises
Projects leaders, owners, developers who are taking the approach of doing it right, versus doing it fast.
Impressive CTO, @etodanik, who speaks comprehensively from the vantage point of helping build and lead startups.
Team is building their game on UnrealEngine & focusing on mobile user experience first to launch their P2E game.
Every in-game asset is being built from scratch. Let me say that again … SCRATCH. This means that the team is approaching game dev like a large studio & focusing on user experience & blowing away the competition.
Tight community of long-term holders
Clear track-record of tackling complicated subject matter and executing. (i.e. Tokenomics, Accessories for Cavemen (airdropped weapons))
Here’s the detail for those that might want to dig-in further:
Let me start by saying that we all refer to, and make jokes about, the quick pace of innovation and change in the crypto and NFT markets. I’m sure you’ve heard the cleche’ “2 weeks might as well be 2 years.”…. “Or I remember way back when” (*when the person is talking about a period 3 months earlier). The point is this space moves quick, is super fickle and leaves us all scratching our collective heads most of the time. Utilizing that lens of 2 weeks is 2 years makes this project, The Crypto Cavemen Club, an absolute, certifiable…well…. Neanderthal. Why you ask? This project was minted in the Paleolithic period of Solana NFTs way back on September 21st, 2021. This was OG times. We had Degenerate Ape Academy, SMB and a few other OGs before this but reality was it was truly the wild west and marketplaces were just beginning to figure it out. This was also the time period where 10,000 supply mints would sell out in a few seconds.
To give you some perspective the pricing of Solana on mint day was around $130 per SOL. At time of this writing Solana is trading under $100 SOL which means basically you can now buy Crypto Cavemen at just about the same amount of money you would have paid way back in September 21’ if not a little cheaper. Here’s a couple things for your consideration:
Projects that minted way back in September 21’ are either dead or have achieved massive traction. There aren’t many in the middle ground. Crypto Cavemen, for those astute observers, are basically still very much alive and thriving. More importantly the core team has done nothing but deliver over the last 6 to 7 months. Here’s a couple examples of what they’ve been up to.
They setup comprehensive tokenomics for $CAVE and instituted liquidity pool and integration with defi marketplaces like Raydium and Tulip . Tokenomics have very little in active/current circulation and strict vesting terms for the founding team.
They’ve onboarded world-class artists and a development team to shape their vision for Caveworld.
They’ve created important partnerships including listing of Cavemen on OpenSea and cave weaponry available at Fractal.
The level of engagement and commitment that the team has to this project is really incredible. I’ve been in their discord since the beginning. Whenever my schedule allows I try to jump into the Cave (holder only channel) and inevitably they have moderators fully engaged, the founders fully engaged and the vibe is productive, steady and consistent. Consistency like that, over a 7 month period, is practically unheard of. AND… their MEME game is strong.
There is alot to be excited for in this game. One of the other things I find impressive about the team is how closely they’ve adhered to their original vision from September 2021. It’s not uncommon in the Solana NFT space to find that as the NFT project evolves the team’s focus, or lack thereof, starts to cause these fissures in the vision. What started out as a game moves into a staking only mechanic. Or what started out as a cool art vision translate into something completely different and potentially hideous. This team has stayed consistent and true to their vision and for that you have to give them mad respect.
I hate to say it but I think in the Solana NFT space many of the participants if not all have a massive case of ADHD. The cycle can be comical at times and it goes something like this:
Where’s my whitelist, “WL please ser?”…
Mint, mint, mint…and one of two outcomes. “YES I got the mint” or “F You - this project sucks [when they can’t mint one]”.
Secondary Trading goes live… 3 seconds later… “wen moon, wen game”
Price of NFT doesn’t 2 to 10X overnight & people dump the NFT in masses & move on to the next.
…REPEAT CYCLE…
You have to admit this cycle is pretty comical. As the overall market matures this will change I’m sure but for now it means that projects like Caveworld that are steady grinding, building, and delivering day in and day out are looked over for the next new mint or next new thing to chase.
From day one when I joined in to one of the AMAs with the team I was taken by their approach to Caveworld and their focus on doing it right. Let’s face it, the Cave team could have gone the Unity gaming engine route and purchased a bunch of pre-made game assets…but they didn’t. They’ve made a choice to build something that I think is really going to captivate the Solana P2E community and may be the first high quality, mobile-gaming ready P2E game deployed for a Solana NFT project.
There is so much to be excited about for Caveworld and this project but unfortunately it’s too much to cover in one post.
I’ve collected a few links that I think will be helpful and would encourage anyone with an interest in NFTs, Solana and Play-to-earn to review Caveworld. As we have all learned over the last many months the space of NFTs in general is a quickly changing one but I believe in builders and teams that bring consistency, real world experience and a focused vision and the CAVE team and community has that in abundance. WAGMI !
